I had several of those. It did sound pretty darn good. However it was amazing how economically constructed it was inside. But still a nice sounding piece.

I am taking it apart to clean it now. At least there is shielding by the inputs, that you don't often see. Upon a closer look sure its basic but I've seen a lot cheesier than that. Even the Wurlitzer stereo console SS "receiver" that runs it is much cheesier. It came with a Garrard Lab 80 though which is way above average for a console.
Happy New Year!

Hey, I'm nothing but impressed that they could make a stereo sound being so economical.
And I got it free so I'll not complain. Somebody bought it as in red marker (which came right off w/alcohol) it said $5 -Works. I just cleaned it up. Tough to get to the balance, bass, treble pots. Cleaned it all up and did a quick tuner align. I was impressed the input selector switch had a long rod to keep the wiring to the switch as short as possible. I do need a bulb for the signal strength meter. Phono section isn't bad either for a basic receiver. Lemon oil and a veneer repair to the case. I'll play with it a while then sell it I guess.

I think it goes down as one of the classics. Not exactly Hi-fidelity, but it was SOLID 70's vintage sound.
Enjoy
