Interesting! The circuitry is very complex. It also could be the unique bifilar output transformers. What is your opinion on why it sounds better than the Marantz?

I remember Bruce Rozenblit writing in one of his tube audio design books that the MC-60 design "humbles the best of us." Cathode windings that apply degenerative feedback, plates coupled to the opposite tube's screen grid, bootstrapping in the driver circuit, and a bunch of things I'm probably not remembering. It was all seriously cool for 1955... and for today.

It seems that I would have to really know my engineering to see all that is going on with that amp. It's time to keep studying!
