Is the Mac C11 the same circuit as the C22?
Follow Ups:
I've read that the C-11 is the same "electrically" as a C-22 but I have no idea if that's true or not.
If it is true why do they sell for quite a bit less than a C-22.Because they arean't as pretty?
In any case it does belong on the list.
No . I believe C-11 is closer to the C-20 but runs a pair of 12AU7's in place of the 12AX7 on the 20 (six tube preamps, IIRC). In addition the the c-11 has a 6X4 prectifier, IIRC, instead of the silicone recitifers of later Macs.
The inside of the C-11 pictured in the link looks like the inside of a C-22 except for the lamps and it has the same selenium rectifier.
The schematic shows 12AX7's.

hmmm I haave a unit here with two 12AU7's uinstalled and has a 6X4. Maybe they did running changes?
I notice that with Marantz Model 1's. Over the years (1954 to 1958) tere are minor variations, again with the the earilier models using 12AU7's and later models with AX7's. In addition EQ curves have more positions in the earlier models ( NAB Tape head position) . That requires a 7 pole selector switch and the later units ( judging by S/N) have 6 pole switch and eliminates the tape head position.....
