Eli,
I know you posted the schematic to your tweaked RCA phono on the Asylum. Can you please resend it to my email address(xaudiomanx@hotmail.com)?
Thanks!

Eli,
Which tube are you using? Was the transistor output on the original schematic. I am assuming all the corrections in blue are for the 12AX7-LPS?
"Any" 12AX7 or electrically equivalent tube can be used. The clean, quiet, and affordable Sovtek 12AX7LPS is what I recommend.
The parts value changes in the EQ circuitry are needed for good RIAA accuracy.
The ZVN0545A source follower has been part of the concept, from day 1. The buffer deals with the WRETCHED drive capability of the 'X7 triode.
The original drawing was prepared by "Buzz" from a narrative I provided. "Buzz" loves "boutique" parts, but quite good results will be obtained using industrial parts of good grade. A PIO part (Soviet surplus K40) as the coupling cap. between the 2 stages gets my nod, as some benefit rates to be realized.
Contact "inmate" Jeff Yourison. He can provide you with his experience in executing the concept economically, while obtaining quite good results.

Eli;
Is there a commercially available version of the RCA 6n2p-nv?
I am better at earning & spending than I am at soldering.
Meat; It's the right thing to do. Romans 14:2
The 6H2П-EB (6n2p-ev) is a Russian type that pins out like a 6922. The triodes inside are the same as found in 12AX7s.
Please notice the "correction" to use a Sovtek 12AX7LPS.

Eli,
Do you have any recommendations for a suitable power supply for a "stand alone" implementation of this circuit?
Thanks.

Freak out...Far out...In out....
Contact "inmate" Jeff Yourison. He has a nice graphic of a low cost/high performance PSU. Jeff made that schematic from a narrative I provided.

Thanks!
