Have fun with that, it's very cool. Do a restore upgrade if you're up to it or send it out to someone if you're not. It's worth it.

Well ET, It seems there is more than just a pretty face on this one. I've been listening to it for the last hour. This is a very, very nice little amp. Extreemly enjoyable. Not up to what my Sherwood s5000 that Don Sachs worked for me does but still great. Nice top to bottom but an especially great midrange. But what really stands out is the soundstage DEPTH. Sucks you right in. This one's a keeper.

Great and not hard to believe at all. I am jealous and remember as a kid being able to find stuff like it for 50-100 dollars sometimes. Woulda, shoulda, coulda. Perhaps a similar treatment to what the S5000 got would pay dividends as well.

Scott used GOOD "iron". The chassis looks roomy enough. Those 2 facts say rebuild. How far to go is a matter of personal preference.FWIW, my gut feeling is that, after refurbishment, the little Scott combined with mid 90s sensitive speakers will kick serious butt.

I totally agree. I heard one upgraded by the guy that sells tweaks and has a record label.....the name escapes me now.
