This cap is aluminum can 3 1/8 x 1 1/4 dia. 220 volts motor capacitor for empire 398 turntable. German made, looks and smells like electrolytic but no schematic so who knows also rated at 50 HRZ and motor is a 60HRZ? thanks again LEE!

Lee,
caps are not normally rated in hz, this might have been a way for the production line to differentiate between different versions, such as ones for North America, (60 hz) and Europe, (50 hz)
Either case, a motor run caps should be easy to source. I would first try a appliance parts shop, motor run caps are commonly used for things like fridges, air conditioners, etc.

Well if the cap was designed to operate in Europe and as far as I found out this cap is used to keep the motor on speed will I need a 60 HRZ to play this t/t in the US. LEE
Good question, perhaps someone knows what value cap is needed.
