Hi folks!
Its been a while since I've been on here. I was at a resale shop and they had a very cool looking all Pioneer system: turntable, cassette, receiver, speakers, and even an 8 track player! Mostly low end stuff though, but it piqued my interest in old Pioneer gear nonetheless, as I am aware now that there were some really good products put out by them.
So, out of curiosity, what would a good 70s Pioneer system consist of? I'm not talking really high end, but definitely a step or two above budget gear. Thinking a set up of a turntable, cassette deck, receiver, and speakers. And what the heck, might as well include an 8 track player for good measure!

I just cleaned up my brother in laws college receiver, a Pioneer SX-838. All switches and pots needed to be cleaned but everything else works great.
There is a huge Pioneer following on audio karma that can help if your system runs into problems.

Now that is a Pioneer system that I would lust after!

I'm not sure an 8track would fit in this system :)
