If you have some "scarce" 7591a Tubes your thinking about selling for a small fortune you'd better do it soon. Tung Sol is now making the 7591a to original spec. If they are half as good as the KT 120 & KT 150 they'll be great!
Good news for all of us Fisher, McIntosh and Sherwood owners sick of rolling the dice on flea bay.

Follow Ups:
I'd be mighty surprised if the availability of the "Tungsol" 7591 has any negative effect on the value of full base NOS 7591s, esp the Westinghouse mfgd originals. The value of the later wafer based GEs and Sylvanias might be affected and used old stock will probably be less valuable. Bottom line: I'll be hanging on to my stash of NOS 7591s for the forseeable future. ;-)
I have to check and see if my SHerwood uses the a version?
Looks NICEEE!

Charles;I think your Sherwood uses a 7189 output tube.
This is a 7591. Sherwood did use the 7591 in the S-5000 II, and some receivers.
Now, it would be great if Tung Sol reissued the 7189 which at this time are unobtainium.

That just shows you how much I've been looking to NOOTTTT change my system!!!!
Just happy as a clam with Mikey's Sherwood rebuild, my NEW NAD C275BEE SS amp, Marantz network player and SR71 speaker setup. I actually feel for the first time since I started with audio, 50 years ago, that I have NO desire or need to change.
Only a replacement set of tubes for the sherwood and I'm DONE.
