Ah the '56 ford. The Crown Vic that year was quite possibly the best car ford ever made. Would dearly love to have one in mint condition.

Thunderbolt Fairlane
The 1st gen 4-passenger T'bird, had a hardtop with the optional police interceptor package. Only thing faster than the car was the emptying of the gas tank. As with most of these and the one in the photo, I had to replace the rear springs with specially ordered and made from a spring maker in Boston. Ford's oem were too soft and not annealed properly and almost as soon as the car rolled off the line the button would start to settle and throw the front end alignment and handling out the window. Yeah, I know using the term handling with these in the same sentence has you rolling on the floor laughing your head off.

I thing the Thunderbolt Fairlane was faster. This is the way the 427 came from the factory.
