Get a pair of Grommes or, Marantz 9s. Or, McIntosh MC3500s.

260, 250K, 221 or the earlier chrome models - 215BA, 216BA and 230BA are all nice. They're also more affordable than Marantz or Mac.
I preferred the Grommes 260 to the Mc amps save maybe the MC225. The Mc amps seemed too smeared compared to the Grommes and Marantz.

Got a pair which needs refurbishing badly. Most interesting design. I had Grommes which used two rectifier tubes, a 5U4 for power tubes and a 6X4 for input tubes: interesting. The 260 has 5u4 but interesting uses a 6L6 for a series regulator for the power tube b+. It also uses what looks to be an OD3 backwards to supply negative bias voltage. I may be wrong but I only took a cursory look inside....
Kinda cool
That's actually a 260A circuit with the 6l6 regulator. I've got quite a pile of the 260's including two 260As that are labelled 260, which may be what you have. I suspect he had the chasis made and then changed the amp but didn't bother ordering new chasis until he exhausted the chasis.
I just got one off of eBay with the original box like this and the box is printed 260 but had a hand written A following the 260 on the box. Either way, it's a good amp. The 250Ks are very similar but use 6CA7, and can sometimes be bought pretty cheaply on eBay.
