Hey guys, I saw the recent thread on the Sherwood S-5000 series. Just noticed one for sale at $450 or BO on Craigslist. See http://annarbor.craigslist.org/ele/4590389496.html. Item is in Ann Arbor, MI. I have nothing to do with party, just passing the info on because a lot of you seemed interested in the unit.

Not mine but looks great and has been sitting at $205 for more than a day. I wish I were in a buying mode.
Not mine, sadly, and no affiliation.

That looks like a superb integrated amp Charlie.
I've just begun my search for a vintage tube integrated amp for my newly acquired Sony 6750 turntable. I've been into the modern gear scene as well as the run of the mill '70s integrated amps and receivers. Now I want the simplicity and cool looks of a nice tube amp w/ phono stage and vintage has me really intrigued.
If you really want that Sherwood, and assuming it's still available but the guy won't ship, let me know and I'll help you out. Just don't leave me hanging with something I can not use. You pay for 2-3 hours of gas and all shipping expenses.
Thanks for the offer Charlie. I am looking locally. Things show up here too.
Because I've learned a lot by reading the various posts, other inmates advise to me from my posts, and I enjoy seeing someone truly interested in vintage audio getting a good piece of gear, I'm more than willing to offer assistance to others - except for those that are just in buying and selling to make a buck.
If as described, today that is a deal.

It will go fast...I would be happy to own one...
It looks like a real good deal and it is only an hours drive from me. I'd buy it but I have a Citation II reworked by Samara, and I'm becoming a minimalist - which means I need just one amp. Really hoping someone in the Asylum can pick this up. If the guy won't ship and someone in the group really wants it, let me know and I'll try to help out - but don't leave me hanging with something I don't need.
