I would think that something like the KLH table (earlier version of the Tivoli) radio might be a better choice. There were some cool AM-FM table radios. I'd bet my Magnavox Penthouse would work well. It is stereo and has an auxiliary in. It is a little big though.

Crazy Dave, can I ask what you feel your Penthouse is worth? Also would you have an idea of what one would be worth that hasn't been upgraded at all but still is in fine working condition? I ask these questions of you because my buddy has one and his wife won't let him sell it, but he wants to know it's value. He listens to it when he is out in the garage working on his bike.Thanks

I have that same radio either a year or so earlier or later. Works well, sounds good, 6X9 plus tweeter on each side. I'm with you but it looks like he wants something older.

It is the kind of radio you listen too while sipping a martini. I think the original poster wants the kind that you listen to in a rocking chair.
