It has been a long time since I found something really vintage and interesting in a thrift store. I was beginning to think that the stuff was all gone. Then I spied this unassuming amp on the shelf. I had read about it here, so I know it was supposed to be good. I picked it up an it is heavy! The only thing I could ascertain at the thrift store was that it did turn on. At #30, I figured I would take a chance.
I got it home an it worked perfectly. It will go into my living room AV/stereo system, where it will be put to good use.
So fare it seems to be a very good sounding amp. I will keep flogging it. Looking at previous posts, a lot of people think that it is an ugly amp. I like the simplicity of its looks. It reminds me of Bauhaus.

What do you think?Have you ever heard there AMPs or Receivers before?
I have seen a lot of Akai gear, but I have never seen a receiver that looked like that. It looks very 70's with wood case and sliders. It also looks very well built. Enjoy!

I am still wondering if I should purchase it! The guy wants $80.00 for it which I feel is a little high even though it is somewhat rare! But since I can listen to it before I buy & no shipping fees like EBAY,I just might chance it?Also what did you think of there sound & build quality?
Here's an actual picture of the back of the unit! It does sure look nice!
