The kid should be studying, not trying to get some thirty year old receiver to sound the same in both channels. And I say that being an avid vintage collector. I would recommend the linked receiver below. Heck, it even has a remote!

80x2 driven at full power? UH, I know IHF, RMS, FTC, Peak. Which is full power or is there a new measurement I am too old to know of?
