an original Well Tempered Arm and special Cogan-Hall constrained layer damped arm board. The vacuum pump/motor controller did not come with the turntable and I am not a fan of SOTAs so it has been a door stop ever since.
Why did I buy it? A pristine Kiseki Purple Heart Sapphire cartridge. My pride and joy. And I love my vintage MC cartridges.
When I get around to it I will probably sell the arm, which works nicely, and then the non-working table as salvage.

Hi viridian, If you sell the arm and arm board let me know. I have a well tempered arm but no arm board. I had to do some fundraising and sold the SME V that was on the table. I thought Id try the WT arm on it.
Thanks.
How much are used SME fives going for these days? I wish I would have known you were selling it.
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.
Hi Mike,
It sold for just over $2200. Which is a good realistic price. Some try for more, some sell for less. But that's right about where they should be. Next up will be an SME 3012 from 1961.
