mike: thanks. mine has 2 sets of screw terminals. the bottom set allows changing of the impedence by switching the wire. on top of that are 2-screw terminals for left and right. i assume that one of the 2 screws on each is red and one is black, but none of those are marked.
PS i hate those tiny screw terminals. they are the worst thing about vintage tube amps

that is correct and the wire you just put it on the imp tap you want to use along with your speaker's + or red lead.
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.
ok, what wires hook to the top pairs of screws, blacks on lefts and reds on rights?
the unit is not here right now so i cant photograph it.
PS have you compared the sound of these HKs to the sherwoods?
thanks

I haven't seen your particular receiver but,I have rebuilt the TA-260 and that is one of the very best sounding and very close to the best laid out receiver I have ever worked on.The iron in your unit is excellent because I have a put a 10khz sq wave thru the A-500 integrated amp's output transformers and it was extremely clean, and I think your amp uses the same output iron.
I haven't compared them side by side to the Sherwoods, but I may do that.
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.
thanks mike. if you do the comparison please post your impressions.
take care

I have this unit and my terminals were marked when I bought it from a reputable professional seller. Speaker terminals left, black, ground. Right red. Other terminals factory marked A and B are A white or black, B red. Hope this helps. Conn
