Only because I can't figure out how to send multiple pictures

I remember it was real tight for space underneath, but since it sounded so good I didn't need to change much. The white and gold front never appealed to me much, but certainly excellent amplifier all around.Nice unit, Mr. Airtime!

Compared to the Fisher, EICO, DYNA and some of the Scotts, the Sherwoods facia was IMHO beautiful. It showed it was not an afterthought. Admittedly, it was counterculture at the time but, Sherwood itself wss. Sadly, like other companies the faceplates can really show the wear. I like the later early 1st gen ss faceplates. Same design, slightly more curved and sculptured and without the white paint. Not. Sure but, I do not think they will ever show wear. But, not as standout since there is nowhite paint, more sedate. These and the very early Fisher SS and hybrid tuner are possibly the nicest units as to the faceplates in looks and construct.

I love Sherwoods but, swear the engineers had a stake in capacitor companies and nanobot technology as nothing larger can easily work on the underside.
Happily things opened up, no pun intended, when they went with their 1st gen transistor units as they used the same chassis size but needed far less space. One reason why I became a convert to their 1st gen ss designs. An advancement with no loss of sound quality.
I have shown Sherwood amps to some "techs" and they told me they are impossible to work on and go somewhere else; not a dissimilar experience to the earliest Fisher ss and hybrid units.
