It was their top-end integrated and it is - as I am sure you know - built like a brick outhouse.
Beefy amplifier.
You can pick up docs for it several places (most likely).

The top-line Pioneer stuff is generally quite decent.
FWIW, I only have one Pioneer component, and it's not exactly 'top end' but it does look cool and it sounds... OK.

SA-9500: 80 wpc into 8 ohms @ 0.1% THD; 100 wpc into 4 ohms @ 0.1% THD
SA-9500II: 80 wpc into 8 ohms @ 0.05% THD; 100 wpc into 4 ohms @ 0.1% THD
The relatively small output increase into half the impedance (and the better HD 'spec' for the "II" into 8 ohm relative to 4) suggests that - by modern standards, at least - these aren't really "high current" amplifiers... but I wouldn't necessarily hold that against either version! ;-)
