What is your price range?
Do you prefer the look of a receiver, integrated amp or separates.
Do you want tubes or solid state? (I believe those speakers were designed for solid state impedance levels.
There are plenty of options available to you in the vintage market. And I believe you may have a few extras being in the UK.

Thanks for the reply Charles.
I'm looking for solid state. In terms of integrated or receiver I could do with a bit of advice on the pros/cons.
I've got a budget of GBP£300 to get amp and turntable. However, if I'm way off the boil I could put a bit more cash into this.
Thanks,
Peter
also check out the other brand names like Pioneer. But stick with their earlier stuff.

First, if you're going for the vintage look go all the way and do a receiver. Looks great and you really don't have to use the tuner (just looks cool sitting there!)
Start pricing the Harmon Kardons mentioned above. As well as the lower powered Marantz receivers like 2216b,2226b,2230 etc.. Early pioneers like the SX 727, or was it the 726?. I found that the lower powered receivers sounded better anyway.
The beauty of vintage is you can get a setup together for about $450 DOLLARS (Ahh - I had to stick that in there!)
I don't know what the selling prices are over there but look around and post some of your finds.
Welcome to a new compulsion!
