Has anyone owned one that can comment? I purchased a Superphon Sa-120 amp that I want to pair it with for a vintage system. Thanks for any replies.....
Follow Ups:
So I found a Superphon Revelation basic that has been re-capped. After a week of break in it sounds wonderful. Not highly detailed but very organic and real sounding. I am still on the prowel for a mk2 version though now that I know how good they sound.....
I have two of the earlier Revelation Dual Mono preamps (and two DM220 amps).
the preamp is outstanding, even more so given it's $400 price when new
Both in Space Case.
One has the individual volume controls and the other has the seperate balance and volume controls.
Love love love them.
I've used them at Hi Fi shoes and they compete at the highest level for soinics.
They don't sell for that much and really can't be beat, IMHO.
If you find one, grab it an celebrate!
(They are easy to care for, as well. I've had mine gone over and for, what 25 year old units, i've had to change only one switch.)

Can you put a rubber band or large O-ring around them to have them act as one ?

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
I don't know how precise I can make it work, but it will be attempted.

;D
Knowing me, I would never quit checking.

...stop checking.
;-)
Thanks for trying that for me.

I'm a congenital dual mono volume knob checker!
;D
Cheers.

Sooooowhich one do you like the most? I have heard the one with two volume controls can be finicky.....
The single volume knob one has a stepped attentuator, which I generally disdain, but no complaint other than that clicky kind of volume knob.
The double volume one has an infinitely variable attenuator, velvety smooth, but the you are always changing the balance somewhat as you adjust and match volume.
If I didn't have them, I would happily buy whichever version I found first and be fully happy!
You can't lose.
Actually, after typing that, I changed my mind. I use Lowthers sometimes and the clicky volume one doesn't give me enough low volume choices.
For 'normal' sensitivity speakers, no matter.
Sincere best wishes to you!

Enophile: Do you mod Stan Warrens components, i.e. Superphon DM220?
Because, their owners enjoy and keep them...
