I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. From day 1 they have not been allowed in my music room. I would be afraid of what I might to to one of them if they damaged one of my Altec 604s.
They will come to the door and look in, but they don't cross the threshold, plus I keep it locked when I am not in there. I do this for their own safety and wellbeing. :)
they never did anything to my Altec Model 15 speakers... I guess some speakers taste better than others!
Yeah, growing up we had several cats and they always left the speakers alone. Weird. Maybe it does have something to do with a certain kind of speaker? Or just a weird cat!
Just like humans, it all depends on the cat and his personality. I have two cats who love to lay in front of my listening chair during sessions. The female was a gift and had been de clawed. She will go up to the Maggys sometimes and softly knead against the grillcloth but no harm done. The other guy is a Korat I have had for 15 years. He has all his claws but will only claw hemp scratching posts of which there are two in the house. He shows absoloutely no interest in speaker or grills. So go figure........
