what would be a better sounding amp between an onkyo integra A8190 or an A10
Follow Ups:
The 8190! I have one, and love it. One of its benfits is a fully passive line stage preamp, and the other is a trick power supply with all of Onkyo's tricks. The power output difference between 85 and 100 watts per channel is negligeable; but the A-8190 can handle 2 ohms so it's good with just about any speaker.
The A-10 is a late-70s vintage integrated with 85 wpc.
The A-8190 is from the late-80s and is 100 wpc.
The A-8190 Integra is a very well made and great sounding integrated amp.
I happen to really like Onkyo gear.
I would choose the best deal.
I can't say but the A8190 is a fine sounding amp. I've had one since 1986 in daily use driving a pair of Infinity SM 155's.
I've an A8190 since 1988 for my primary stereo with a pair of Speakerlab 4's I've had since 1979. Very nice peformer with faultless reliability for almost 20 years.
