I read a review where he said bypassing the apoc made much more improvement than the cap and resistor upgrade he did. He didnt specify the parts he used but said it was pricey. Ive never done a crossover upgrade and felt it wasnt worth it. I once changed 30 year old internal wiring with some Kimber 4TC and that was a labor intesive waste of time. Thanks for chiming in I saw you had them once and had replied on some old threads about them.

Agreed, bypassing APOC should be first priority. Thanks for pointing that out.
I have found that Kimber wire anywhere is a waste of time and money and effort.
I would never recommend rewiring an enclosure with anything, even the best wire, unless it was really easy to access everything. In an 802, it certainly isn't worthwhile.

I got the wire free and wanted to find out for myself. I took everything apart to get the crossover values and did the wire first before the crossover parts came in. I bypassed tweeter fuses too and upgraded binding posts. A live and learn thing. We were dealers and they were mostly scrap pieces of 4TC which was my speaker wire at the time. I thought the uniformity may have added something too but no.
