LOL, no kidding. I just heard back from an email I sent to Auric, and he confirmed it should be done every time for best results. The price is up, too. $40 to $50, plus $7 dollars shipping.

Retreatment after every play??? That's pretty ridiculous, IMO--and I have an unusually high threshold for ridiculousness! Or at least I did.
I used Auric Illuminator for about six months many years ago, and I ultimately found several products I considered significantly better. Never revisited it after that.
I now use Ultrabit Diamond Plus, which has been my reference for a while. George Louis can strike some as the lunatic fringe, but he makes a great CD treatment.
haven't seen any of his posts here in ages.
Thank goodness!
Happy to hear he makes a good product.

No such silliness with L'Art and the cost is around $55(treats 200 CDs) from Elusive Disc. A friend with a truly big buck system recommended this stuff to me years ago. Also a favorite of the late HP. Seems like the Auric fellow thinks he will sell a lot more product this way, but I think it will result in quite the opposite. No one I'm aware of will want to clean/polish a CD before every play.
