This will usually produce an improvement. Let it break in for around 100hrs. before going on to other mods to make sure the sound is what you like. If too much is done at first then you don't like what you're hearing or if something is not working correctly after the change, it will be harder to track down what change you did caused it.

Thanks Cougar, I guess I can just leave the cd player playing a disc for about 70 more hours on repeat? I don't need the Preamp or, power amp on during burn in also do I? Then maybe I'll upgrade the PS caps and maybe bypass the output caps.I've seen where some people recommend putting damping inside the case and blue tac on the crystal or small sand bag Do you recommend removing the muting transistors? Thanks again!
with it connected to the preamp. If you do the tweak to the CD's coupling/output caps then you can just leave the preamp off. The output of the CD player will see the load of the preamp's input, that will help with the break in process.
