I apologize that I cannot help with your question, but if you have "hiss", you might consider other sorts of upgrades, rather than changing the op amps. Because op amps per se are pretty quiet, even if one less good sounding than some other op amp. If your unit is "old" (>20 years, for example), you might consider replacing electrolytic capacitors, for one thing.

Thanks, I'll try that too. It is probably around 20 years old. I don't think the hiss is excessive but I don't have a new model to compare too either. I am interested if I can reduce it noticeably with better components.
I'm looking at changing two 16v 2200uf electrolytic caps with Nichicon KA series.
What power amp and speakers are you using with it? Theres no phono section right, so Id guess youd have to get real close to the speakers to hear anything like hiss? Unless you have a noisy tube amp.(which might then have bad tubes)Getting close to hear hiss means little but improving or replacing that would be good. I was given one years back and didnt think much of it.

I'm using it with an Adcom GFA-545II amp and RTR Series III speakers. It does have a phono section and when switched to that there is more hiss which I think is normal. I have to check and see if I can hear it from where I listen to music instead of up close.
