Placed a pair of samples that Mad Scientist is selling for $10 on a set of Hawthorne tweeters and sure enough more detail and tactile presence. Never fails.I have a second set that will go on the back of the EPI 100 tweeters inside the box. Now I need another set for another set of headphones because I was only fooling around when I placed them on the Hawthorne's. Didn't realize I wouldn't want to take them off.
No affiliation with Hawthorne or Mad Scientist, etc.

Placed a pair of samples . . . on a set of Hawthorne tweeters
Slipping casually into Imitation Mode, just tried a pair of Magic Tubes, one per channel on top of the magnets on the 8" bass/mid-range of my IPL TL speakers.
Pfui. Can't possibly make quite a difference. Break, gimme, Plainly placebo, etc etc.
Hmmmmm. Seems to make quite a pronounced difference but, before I say "Thanks for the tip", any chance someone else can try it? Safety in numbers and all that . . .

Fundamental experimentation involves testing, beyond mere listening.
TH BLack Discus involve magnetism. hold up a magnet to it and you'll see. I'haven't tried it but I do believe the MSA fields are polarized, hence they sound difference top and bottom.
Everyone has neglected or rather ignored EMF fields. They are an essential part of any AC (including signal fields).
Benefits are reaped by a further understanding if you can picture the EMF fields ( and there are two occurring simultaneously).
Too many of the current voodoo mechanisms utilize this EMF. The fact is the EMF forces are so small many counting zeroes after the decimal point.
Actually they also manipulate the electric field as well as the magnetic..in fact that's what is different about them to say a ferrite or lump of iron.(Good to see you posting again Stu)

Sorry if I wasn't clear but in writing EMF I mean the electrical forces as well.
The two as I am well aware that you know, are inseparable.
Thanks for the kind words, BTW. Am liquidating stock now. Gotta about year doctor's figure ( the honest ones)
I know its uniquely American, but Happy Thanksgiving. .
I know I have had a lot to be thankful for

Happy Thanks Giving Uncle Stu. I hope that the year is as happy and healthy as it can be. Your posts and calm are an integral part of this forum.
I placed the sample pair on the transformer of a Yaquin tube buffer and noticed a difference in tone. Everything deepened slightly and the slight digital edge disappeared from the hf.
i will never try anything like this ever again.

But, here, it DOES seem to make a difference. I'm asking that someone else try it and comment.

i mistook your post.
they seem to work in my environment on small transformers/transducers.
I just haven't broken down and bought a large set yet.
but it looks like I have no reason NOT to.

You lucky thing - you'll get the Mk II tubes (Now Magicer and Tubier . . .). I'm still waiting on my Tube Toppers but will keep my "report back" promise.
