Of course, I've obsessed about this long and hard and built a 4-layer pad with very heavy wood and even constrained-layer damping--using SonicCoat the Thicker. Fortunately it's not very expensive...maybe $200 for materials.By late Sunday the 8th I should have pics of the finished product.

Thumped on top or bottom with a now-slightly-tender knuckle, it's acoustically deader than a proverbial doornail!
Full story at the link. This is my first constrained-layer-damping project, and I'm thrilled with the result.
I'll be using five Herbies Tall Tenderfeet for amp feet.

Very, very nice! jeffreybehr.
You have a real wood-working talent. I wished we lived closer to each so I could not only listen to your system, but, have a woodworking buddy.
Keep posting pics of your system!
You didn't read the CJOwners.com thread linked in my first note.
All I did for this project is design it, buy the material, apply the SoundCoat, and apply the finish; my buddy Phil-G did 90% of the work.
This is as far as I got it tonite.
It's NOT as red as it appears here.
