As such this is a VERY VERY quick call.
I played a favourite test track The Beatles' Come Together.
First with the old Black Discus on the tubes in my pre-amp, then without and then with the Toppers.
Instantly what the Toppers seem to give is clarity with separation and air.
No (less) sense of closing anything down, the music almost sounds lighter but it is more air inside it.
OK, for a sneak peak, I don't want to say any more without some time spent playing with them.
Follow Ups:
Might want to try their new Snake in Oil caps which are about to be released. Rumored to make soundstage wider and deeper!

Just what we need. New jokes, mature comment. Many thanks.

I have a love hate relationship with this line of products. In the past I have found that they do some nice things but quite often with the downside of squelching higher frequency bloom. Cymbals and the shimmer that surrounds them are a good indicator. This has become the first cue I look for when positioning any of the Mad Scientist products.
I'll try some checks later.
I did notice when I first got the Black Discus that it could very much darken the sound in the wrong spot, but why leave it in the wrong spot?
;-)
