I don't have relevant skills and sufficient premises. Before spraying the paint, I would have to remove the existing coating somehow...
Perhaps, I'll put up with it.
Depending on the type of paint they used, you may only need to scuff the surface with a Scotchbrite pad. If you put wax on there, that will have to be removed with a solvent.
How someone screwed up a flat black spraying job is beyond me.
Can't you take it back, and have them redo it? Don't they stand behind their work?
If you haven't in the past, I would remove the cover, if possible. Who knows how they handle somewhat delicate equipment. Unless they specialize in that, they may not be all that gentle with it.
