My advice is based on experience of high-performance cables. While AudioQuest FLX/SLiP 14/4 is not a high-end product, I still find that it benefits from ample burn-in time. The performance of the pair I use in a second system has continued to improve, even after an initial 150 hour burn-in process. YMMV

I'm glad to know your positive finding. I expect you will be even more pleased with the star quad wiring method after 150 hours of burn-in, when all four conductors are burned-in, as well. It's important to consider a 4-conductor cable requires more burn-in time since there is a more complicated dielectric configuration with slightly higher cable capacitance which tends to require plenty of dielectric burn-in time vs. a simple 2-conductor twisted pair, so be patient...
