I find mid size speakers improve dramatically in this position. All scrap wood from a back yard project. I weighted the front of the black stands with blocks (can't be seen) to balance center of gravity a bit. Very stable.

There are some sound theoretical reasons why you might have been better off with cinder blocks, especially if the lower wooden platform shown in the photo is hollow inside. But if you prefer the wood structures to the cinder blocks, that's what counts. Try also separating the two Siamesed leads to each speaker, all the way back to the amplifier.
That only cinderblocks made from a particularly rare and expensive volcanic ash, that has to be smuggled out of a tiny island, and which have been cryo and nano and quantum treated, will truly bring out the music! LOL
Hey, you are in for a world of interesting, though not always satisfying, experimentation. There are so very many ways to improve your sound that you can research here on Tweaks. Go for it!
I think that is what I am using. I bought them from Home Depot. I think they were around $3 each. I spare no expense in the pursuit of the highest quality sound!

Have them cryoed. LOL
I left them outside in the cold for while ...

Studies show that well aged redwood reduces harmonic distortion.....!
