I found these in Audio Asylum Trader and was wondering if they actually provide vibration control for a CD player. Very inexpensive.

Both ZLS and tubesforever used the Aural Support footers. They liked it.
Actually it was tubesforever that led me to offer compliance options for the footer. A less compliant option than the Deflex pad , Herbies Grungebuster sheeting 1/8th" thick is now an option for the bottom of the footer. As he suggested it is a better solution for most vinyl rigs and other warm leaning components.

I manufactured resonance control gizmos a few years ago. The way it started was when I put Hunts tomato paste cans under my preamp (cans were on their side...laying down) and to my amazement, it really improved the sound of my system. I eventually refined the cans into a real product, and sold many. The point is EVERYTHING works...you just have to find what works for your ears in your system. They are all a bit different, and the joy is in the process of discovery.
I use them under my Metrum Hex dac. Did not really do any extensive evaluations of them but the hex sounds great and these footers are very well built. The concept of setting equipment on a ball as been long time approved by the audiophile community. I say go for them
