What's the easiest way to find out what size & whether they're fast or slo
blow fuses for my Burson Soloist Headphone Amp & Metrum Hex DAC ?
The fuse I have in the Burson appears to say 'T500mAL250VP'& doesn't appear to match up with the fuse sizes I'm seeing !
Thanks

T is for timed or slow blow. Probably a 5mmX20mm fuse. Digikey and Mouser carry them if you don't have a local electronics outlet.

Often the part numbers of components are based on the MFG's 'part numbering logic' - such as it is
If you click the link below to the Digi Key catalog you will see that there are a veritable plethora of options for fuses rated at 500 mili-amp at 250 V
If you also take a glance at the filters that you could apply to your search - you begin to see the confusion present-
From your listing of the fuse: T500mAL250VP - it appears to me to be 500 miliamp at 250 V - now you need a decent scale/ruler/caliper to measure the diameter, length and then search through the catalog -

That looks to be a regular blow 500mA standard fuse, 5 x 20mm
Thanks to all for fuse size info... I appears the Hex already has (not
surprisingly)ceramic fuses in it given how sweet it sounds through any
amps I try with it, so I ended up just ordering a HiFi Tunning fuse for
just the Burson from John at the Cable Co.I was going to just get a few Acme Audio fuses, but Paypal is being
a royal PITA in allowing me a way to enter a verification # for a new
password, so for as little as I paid more for the Fuse, Acme lost a sale !
