You can never know until you try. Just reversing the direction of spikes, for example, brings different results. Combining different isolation measure - as simple as one type of elastomer with another - gives different results (Herbie doesn't like you mixing his with others). Combining isolation and coupling in different places and directions also gives different results.
If it were one simple answer we'd all have discovered that years ago!
All my systems use different combinations of isolation and coupling in different places for different purposes. I know of some of the inmates who NEVER stop fooling around with this!
Best advice I can give is to try out such things on the cheap to get an idea of what might work for you before investing in the expensive commercial versions. If you can DIY at all (or shop wisely) you'll be less disappointed in the end, I surmise..... YMMV

Well, of course it does. If the cook added a little arsenic to your mashed potatoes you might not notice a thing. A teaspoon full of arsenic and you're sick for days. A tablespoon and you're no longer with us. Doesn't this go without saying?

Right. In other words, you eventually would have discovered everything.
That's just unbright.
No need for the snide remarks. If you disagree, that's quite enough to have said so.
I just assumed you hadn't put much thought into your comments before posting them here.
If you did, I apologize.
That's an odd apology: If I was thoughtful it's OK, but if not you're not apologizing?
Seriously, while we may disagree on theory and practice, I think you should assume that most of us are thinking when we post, amigo.
This is a board on which the ethos is that trying something is good and if it works it's better and if it's replicable, that's terrific. But often with things that work we disagree on why, and about as often people disagree as to whether it works or not (though all too frequently without actually trying it for themselves.) This is a DBT free zone, a place for tinkerers.
While I'm sure you did give much thought to your comments regarding vibe control, you'll find many here who have succeeded at getting better sound via mechanisms about which you seem to be doubtful. YMMV has some meaning.
