This is a tweak I like to get if I had the money. For sure, a lot of discussions on this. A lot of guys don't care for it. And a lot of guys do care for it. The RR-777 has 4 times the pulse strength of the original RR-77 and a different power supply. The RR-888has an improved accuracy of the waveform and a further low noise circuit that offers a performance improvement over the RR-777. Great reviews by Jeff Day and Mike Silverton.
The lovers of the Acoustic Revive RR-888 think it is one of the greatest tweak.
Follow Ups:
From reading the 6 Moons review, is it the idea that having something in your immediate environment generating the Schumann Resonance locally will block or interfere with spurious sources of EMI (and RFI???) in the local environment? Electromagnetic waves can certainly modulate each other, but can they block or cancel each other, unless the potential interfering source is specially tuned to do that at a particular frequency (which does not pertain here, because we have one set frequency purporting to block many possible frequencies across a wide range)? If so, we would have problems with radio and TV reception, I think. Then on the other hand, we have the enthusiastic endorsement of so many end users that I am loathe to criticize. I only wonder about the explanation.
IIRC, and admittedly my memory is rapidly fading, The Schumann frequency is supposedly the fundamental earth frequency, and determined basically by its diameter and the diameter of the ionosphere. The difference is supposed to compromise a rough waveguide for EM frequencies which will circle the globe. Of course, the average diameter of the halfway point of the earth surface and the ionosphere determines the Schumann frequency. Also of interest is that much of the EM is caused by electrical storms ( read lightning). Some questions come immediately to mind. Schumann frequencies are usually defined at 7.83 Hz. The recent spate of thunderstorms (they accompany tornado activity) and other weather phenomena obviously will affect the frequencies, and my guess is more storms, the higher the frequency. Sunspot cycles will also affect the height of the ionosphere which will also change the frequencies.
Some recent NASA photos show stunning photos of lightning displays, with flashes extending far into low earth orbit, and extending over many square miles, though not visible from the ground.
How all this affects audio is still to be determined, but perhaps through the power lines, since an AC grid represents a rather huge antenna. That being said, the ionosphere height is in constant fluctuation, and my guess is that things like storm clouds will affect the height too. All would have some effect on the Schumann frequency, even if localized.
The Navy makes extensive use of waveguides for their electronics transmissions. I've worked on a few and they demand very precise layout to maintain a constant inside dimension, Of course the navy is interested in specific frequencies. The Earth based generated frequencies are unbelievable variable to US Military standards, or so it would seem, so there is great leeway in SG.
The SG do work, even the fixed frequency ones, or at least they do in my system.
Some other points to ponder. The earth's magnetic poles are not concentric with the geographical poles (isn't magnetic north close to Greenland now?). Does this mean the rotation can develop magnetic induction on the surface of the planet?
Recent studies indicate that the Schumann frequency is making slow rise
YMMV

You guys have only 1/2 the story.
All you say is fairly accurate about the resonance and its cause. It does vary by time of day, season and state of solar activity.
IF your generator is in phase with the natural phenom I'm sure the effect is heightened. Getting a PERFECT frequency match, however, is not likely.
More likely would be that you simply generate a stronger local field than nature.
Now, as to WHY.
Humans and apparently mammals in general are more evolved than reptiles. It would appear that humans / other mammals have brainwaves which are at or include the Schumann frequency. These Alpha Waves, in people, are associated with meditative states and general 'relaxation'. After seeing acoustic experiments at places like Stonehenge, I'd like to see brain wave traces of people exposed to the experimental frequencies. It is possible that the low frequency resonance and 'cogging' frequencies have similar soothing effects to the Electronic version of a home Schumann generator.
I have had a 'discussion' with Geof about the long-term stability of the Schumann frequency. I suspect that as earth changes, the frequency changes as well. The resonance should have been changing since it first became a self-reinforcing phenom. Perhaps soon after the Earth's atmosphere stabilized and weather developed.

Too much is never enough
Owning the Acoustic Revive-77 with King Rex II power supplies, the Telos generator ( slightly higher frequency), and most recently the Synergistic Research Atmosphere unit, I find their effects to be facinating, and all three can improve the music listening experience.
The SR Atmosphere is the most advanced, as it allows the user to adjust two different generated frequencies to suit the listener's needs.
aupiho,
Please comment on the jerichojason schumann when you receive it.
From diy paradise this was very interesting read.

On the first link I gave the tester find the Telos to be better than AR. He says the frequency's not the same: about 9hz if I remind well...
But it stills high priced....
Iwent on Ebay and looked up Schumann Resonator Chartres mk2. There are no reviews on this product that I can find. Chartres mk2 would be a great alternative or option if there were reviews and comments. You bought a Schumann Resonator Chartres tell us about it.
I have the Chartres MK2 resonator.....In the beginning I couldn't perceive a clear improvement but I sensed that there was something to it
so I doubled down and bought a second unit (the price is very fair)...Now, after experimenting with height and location the effect is quite evident. It is adding a sense of realism...It's one of those tweaks where you don't hear anything until you unplug it...then you miss it...Things are just not quite as palpable, as musical as delicious until you plug it back in...David in Indonesia was both knowledgeable and very helpful...He does not provide a wall-wart power supply with the unit but suggests that using a regulated linear adapter does offer a better result...I found this to be true in my set up...I located a source for very inexpensive power supplies...
Jameco Electronics in the U.S.A....The following is a description of the model that works with the Chartres MK2...
Power Supply wall adapter/transformer Regulated, Linear 6 watts 12VDC @ 500mA.....2.1M X 5M, F2, UL/CSA....They were only $11.95 each+ shipping and handling costs.. I should add that I've never tried any of the more expensive Schumann resonators from japan...so I cannot say if they would be yet more effective...From my own experience I can say that I'm very pleased with the Chartres...
"What a great ride"!!
All the links that might show some detail of the Chartres MKII are no good as the home site just shows a blank page when you click on it. There is another Schumann device with frequency and gain controls with a movable external antenna see the link. It's a good price too, someone needs to try one. Check it out at the link. It's $149.E

Hi,
I haven't one for the time but I think next month that'll be done!
I'm quite confident with these products: some says Jason his the real manufacturer of the AR brand...
So...
And AR is too high priced for me...and when you look at what is inside...
It's too much for a few components!
That's why I'm interested in a DIY version.
The few schematics I've seen are SIMPLE and could easily be built in an Altoids tin……not including PS and the antenna.
Too much is never enough
and that combo definitely does SOMETHING beneficial, at least to my ears and those of a buddy of mine. I've had both in my rig for years now. This new 888 looks interesting, but I'd be curious to know if there's really enough sonic difference to justify the cost over perhaps buying a used '77 and linear PSU. Maybe I'll try to get one in for audition later this year to compare to my setup.
Any idea where you can get a kingrex or equivalent?
thanks in advance

Image: 12VDC 2.5A PSU via eBay
If 12VDC 2.5A is suitable, this inexpensive PSU might be up to the task. I'm breaking-in a lower voltage/current version at this time, and I like how it performs.
However, my more diminutive PSU features a small encapsulated toroidal transformer, whereas the PSU in the following link features an R-core transformer.
Perhaps an R-core transformer might provide a lowered noise floor vs. toroidal if that is a critical factor for the RR-77 to function at its best.

Welcome back! Have you seen or tried this one at the link? It has interesting features like freq control, gain control and a movable external antenna

Thanks, Awe! It's nice to be back.
No, I don't have any experience with that unit. It looks interesting, though. The price is definitely right, compared with what Acoustic Revive charges! The adjustability is intriguing.
Thanks for the reply. I'd like to bite the bullet but since I have nothing to compare it too I'm going to wait. Maybe if I keep posting the link someone that has an AR will buy one and compare.

Hi here's an interesting link with other type of frequency involved:
other stuffs here:
From your link and post...:)Another option... This company has a large selection operation on different frequencies...

Yes maybe but who tried this brand?
The other thing to know is that to deal perfectly with schumann waves you need 2 ou 3 generators...
Or buying the ones of jerichojason on ebay....
Some say it's better than AR and....cheaper!
