I like Mike and his way of thinking. We differ on any issues but Mike is a pretty sharp cookie and I simply love his PLC's.
Actually the only difference have is with the fact that woods give different sound when under total compression. But that's about it. I had mentioned the fact to Mike but then the pieces would have become too large for what he was attempting (i use my spruce as shelving rather than a smaller piece like a footer).
His essay is pretty much in agreement with what I have been saying: one reason why we got along so well together. The woods can give subtle but audible changes in tonality and thus often reveal greater detail
