I'm trying to order some good metal film resistors from Mouser. The problem is there are dozens of series to pick from?????
I need a recommendation for a good 1/4 watt metal film resistor for audio use.
PLEASE help cut through all these choices!!!
thanks

I built a passive attenuator will IR remote. The resistors are line resistors in the signal path.
I'm using this for both the Sherwood and my new NAD C275BEE amp. It seems to be sonically VERY transparent with the Sherwood. Hence, my Sherwood now has remote volume control - woppie!!!!!

I'll set up an order with my Heathkit Oscilloscope parts order.

Don't buy anything magnetic. Look for good temperature coefficient. eBay has good military grade or RN55/RN60 ones on sale.
Hi airtime,
You may want to start with Vishay/Dale CMF55 series. They are the same as the MilSpec RN series but with commercial markings instead of the required military markings.
