this is an attenuator circuit question.
I have a line in on one end of the resistor.
Line out and ground on the other side of the resistor.
Is it OK, will I get the same desired attenuation, if I added a second resistor (to increase resistance) AFTER the

I don't quite understand what it is you want to do.
Lets say my attenuation circuit needs a 200k ohm line resistor with a 20K ohm ground resistor (just numbers for discussion here).
What I am asking is:
can I use one 100K resistor, connect it to ground and have a second 100k resistor down circuit. Or the ground leg IN BETWEEN the two 100k resistors. Will it still electrically be 200k line and 20k to ground to work as an attenuation circuit?
