These were about $90.00 each and fairly easy to install (myself and a friend), with supplied roto fasteners. Made a big difference in calming down the reflections. The location was determined with a laser beam by my local audio shop.

Some kind of diffuser, but homemade?? Sold by acoustic panel manufacturer??
If you look at my picture gallery you'll see what I did. I even have similar windows , mine above 8X4 foot sliding glass doors. My roof pitch is steeper. My room is 34 feet wide as there is about 8 feet of wall on each side of the doors/windows.
My photos don't show the windows and I put my DIY panels along the apex of the ceiling after sound tests with one down the back side first reflection area. What a big difference they make.
For less than $500 and much less if DIY'd most inmates could really make a big difference with treatments, more so than an equipment upgrade costing several times more.

Very Nice.
I think the room treatment made as noticeable a positive change in sound as any single improvement I have made. Granted my journey has been in gradual increments, not zero to sixty, so to say..
Having said that, I think too dead of a room might not be a good thing.

Nice job. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a very nice listening room.

Thanks. Obviously this is a good idea with flat ceilings as well, I should say....
Lately I have become aware that the shape and acoustic neutrality of my listening room are such a huge factor in my listening enjoyment. These little panels, while a toe dip into the possible room conditioning I could do in this room, have made a big difference. Music is more enjoyable at low levels, better clarity and detail, more music coming from the soundstage itself instead of the rest of the room. I was a bit skeptical before I put them up, but no more.
