Good idea, but I'm reconsidering using copper. I was going to replace the binding posts with Cardas all copper ones, but it turns out that they recommend cleaning them every few months because of the oxidation problem. No thanks to that. I've decided to get copper coated with silver and rhodium and jumping the posts internally.
Thiel didn't think that bi-wiring was a good idea with their speakers anyway so they stopped supplying double posts on their speakers. On the CS-3s, bi-wiring is next to impossible with a stiff cable like Cardas, or probably just about anything else. You have to either lie on your back with the speaker tilted to expose the posts, or put the speaker on its side and wire it up. But as you right it, the wires yank off. I think the CS3 was their last speaker to have the posts hidden away under it. Some poorly considered design decisions, but they do sound good.

Since you're getting new posts any way consider drilling t he back.of the cabinets n relocating the posts. be sure to check internals first (i sure you know that)
if you want to try the goertz cable I have a short length I can send you, No charge as you only need about 5 inches per side....''also if clamped in the binding post like spade lugs, the mechanical seal really slows corrosion. Use of Cortex ( Bullfrog) products also greatly inhibits corrosion (from a guy who lives in a constantly humid corrosive salt air laden atmosphere)

Better yet, consider drilling the back of the cabinets to relocate and upgrade the posts with premium binding posts of your choice (many make/models to choose from), especially if the stock binding posts are a mundane product like even the best loudspeaker manufacturers often choose to use.
