Your preference may depend on what power cord you will be using with the PS Audio DirectStream DAC. The tonality of a gold Furutech IEC inlet is quite natural sounding if not neutral (not too warm) when compared to typical nickel plated brass IEC inlets which tend to sound slightly cold and etched in comparison. A rhodium Furutech IEC inlet sounds a bit more vivid and 'faster" but with a somewhat less colorful presentation and slightly less authoritative bass than a gold Furutech IEC inlet, IME. YMMV

Thanks Duster.. I'm currently using an AudioQuest NRG1000.. if I change it out it would be for a Shunyata Zitron Alpha (not the digital one though) I was using a Shunyata Black Mamba CX HC and surprisingly it sounded a bit grainy compared to the AQ..
From what you're saying I think Gold is the way I'd like to go..The DS is already vivid and fast sounding, I'd rather not push it more in that direction. If the DS needs anything a bit lusher would be a good thing..
The gold version should serve your purpose very well. I especially like the gold Furutech FI-10(G) IEC inlet for use with a Wattgate 350i Audio Grade Gold IEC connector.
Thanks again Duster
