The LT323 has 1/2 the noise of the typical 7815. I can't remember if there is a negative one. Have a look at the Linear Tech site.
The NJM 78 series is also quieter in practice.

Hi Fmak
The LT323 is a 5v reg. Needing 15v. Do you know offhand what the 15v reg is?
Thanks
Cleet
Sorry, I'd a mental block as I was doing 5V myself. $60 for a pair of Dexa isn't too bad though, although pre-regulation should be used as well.
Where do you get a pair of Dexa's for $60? Best I found was $39 a pop from a friendly Canadian store
The -15V Dexa is rated 400ma and I'd like something closer to 1A
thanks
Cleet
