Pierre does go off the deep end in some of the statements made in that catalogue. I sometimes wonder whether he believes the stuff himself or is just having fun. But many years ago, Pierre told me that very thin gauge single-stranded wire sounds best for chassis wiring and ICs, and he was so right, IMO. Then came ribbons, and he was right there, too. Again, IMO.

Did he suggest what 'very thin' is gauge wise?
I used to use Mapleshade interconnects and the descriptive material didn't mention "gauge" but talked in terms of "ultra-thin (.0025") single-stand connectors." I found the sonics of these (and the subsequent thin foil ICs) sensational but couldn't cope with their fragility and ultimately turned to something else.
I can guarentee you he is not "just having fun"
I can second that!
