I would like to solicate advice about a power switch. I am looking for a toggle switch of at least 20 amps and capable of handling high in-rush currents for a highly modified Hafler DH 500 amp (the capacitance has been almost tripled). Thank you.
I think I would build a soft start circuit for it for the extra capacitance. Perhaps something similar to that in a Dynaco C-100. Although the Hafler does have a built in in-rush limiter, I'd check the specifications on it. You may not need the switch you think you need at all.

Dear Rocket, I use a heavy duty 30amp switch from the "home"-stores. It has a green body and is a double throw switch that I wire in parallel since I need only a single throw. That's 60 amps of capable switching. I believe that should help your situation. JKwinn
Correction: I meant double "pole" instead of "throw." JKwinn
