I have heard the copper and the silver-plated. Compared to the Furutech copper, the IeGo copper was leaner in the bass, and slightly 'thinner' in the mid/treble. Some systems may benefit from that 'tone', like a warm system may sound more neutral.
THe silver plated version is interesting, seems to bring out more details, but seems grittier up top. Might be overkill on a neutral - bright system. The Furutechs rhodium had a fuller midrange body, and just sounded smoother.
But I did like the airiness of the IeGo silver-plated.
I haven't heard the Oyaides.
In the end its just another flavour...how it comes across would depend on the system and user taste.
Thanks. That's what I was seeking.
To my ears the Oyaides do better than the Furus, but the Furus are no slouchers at any level! So comparing the Iegos to Furus gives me some idea of how this thing might sound.
It's only with comparisons that you get the idea, when you can't test the item out yourself in your home situation, unfortunately. Someone raving about a new product by itself only tells you that he found an appreciable improvement in his system over stock or whatever came before.
