In Reply to: RE: Iego plugs - anyone evaluated them viz Furu Oyaide? posted by bartc on July 01, 2009 at 13:48:05
CryoParts once upon a time said they were planning to carry IeGO products. For some reason that idea seems to have disappeared. Why nobody seems to carry leGO products in North America seems a peculiar thing if they're a noteworthy manufacturer. my cryptic 2 cents worth...
Good plugs, but well near impossible to get them to supply me in a reliable fashion, so I dropped them.
Peace,
Lee
I have them on some silver A/C cords. Sound wise they are hard to fault...I have some Furutech Golds, I can't say the Iego sound any better or worse. However on one female IEC the fit is no quite perfect. Otherwise metal wise they sound be comparable to Furutech. I believe use metal by a company called Furukawa.

Yeah, I noticed that. I went to Cryo-parts at first, because I specifically remembered they had the Iego line in their online catalog. Well, it was completely gone! No trace that they ever sold this stuff.
People are now selling this line more on eBay and Audiogon. The products look as though they are trying to compete directly with Furu & Oyaide, more with Furu.
Was hoping someone on AA had comparative experience to share. A lot of other boards have reviews and opinions, but they don't seem as advanced in many cases as AA inmates. More of the "I just found out that cables/terminations/etc. make a difference and I happen to like this particular product." Not shootouts or comparisons with the leaders.
