For me it took most of the collection of tweaks and advice I'd accumulated through various sources (as well as added several new ones) and put them in one resource. For that it was worth the price to me. It is a well constructed book with good advice, although the speaker set up recommended seemed a bit confusing and perhaps even a bit overwhelming to me. I've seen and used other methods that were simpler.
More importantly I think Jim is a very helpful resource committed to his work. I had the opportunity to speak to him over the phone and learn some additional things about my system and the sound I'm getting.
