Hi,
Are mundorf mox resistors 10 watt 2% better in a crossover than mills 12watt for midrange preformance?
thanks
I tried both mox and Mills non-inductive ww's in my crossovers. The Mills made a much bigger difference/improvement.
Here's a link that may be of interest:
Madisound sells MOX type for crossover duty, so they must be OK in that regard. Mills wire-construction should also be good. Neither is that expensive such that YOU could trial both & discover which if any YOU prefer.
I'm not sure if I would say better, different would be a better answer. I find Mills colored and less detailed. Mundorf MOX are more transparent, but add a little sheen. For a MP or LP circuit, I'm fond of Mill's badged MRC-50 resistors from Parts Connexion. They're transparent, have very little to no coloration, and can take a beating. But for a HP(tweeter) circuit, Duelund is where it's at.
