Does anyone know the difference in circuit design from the std. model and the hot rod? Thanks, David
"McGinty experimented with several different combinations of parts before formalizing what Meadowlark calls their Hot Rod configuration: Cardas Solis copper binding posts, point-to-point internal wiring with TARA Labs Rectangular Solid Core, silver solder throughout, Auric capacitors, heatsunk Caddock resistors, and a 14-gauge Perfect Lay inductor for the bass circuit."........ Many thanks. That is very helpful to me. I appreciate the help, David
That sounds about right. I had also read that there might have been better dampening of the driver baskets. I owned the Osprey. Very sad that the company couldn't survive.
I'm not sure on the specifics anymore but I do recall that it had upgraded drivers (bass and tweeter?)and the crossover was different. I was interested because they are very tube friendly. I really think that the hotrod Shearwater was the one to look for.
